RBC Play Hockey Grants - 5/10/2012

Stratford, ON - RBC Play Hockey™ is offering 20 grants, in the amount of $25,000 each, to community hockey organizations, sports associations and hockey-minded individuals across Canada and the US.   

The deadline to apply for 2012 grants is May 31, 2012.

Support will be provided to a variety of hockey initiatives with an emphasis on those that:

•             Increase access to the game of hockey

•             Break down barriers to entry

•             Introduce the game to newcomers to North America

•             Keep hockey growing and vibrant

•             Learn to skate programs

•             Equipment-share programs

•             Recruiting and training for coaches, referees and volunteers

•             Arena refurbishments and capital project investment

•             Hockey festivals

•             School skating programs
